Frequently Asked Questions
Do you have questions about buying a watch, buyer protection, or secure shipping? Here you'll find all the important answers at a glance, so you can buy your next timepiece with complete peace of mind.
dailoro & the buying process
Browsing dailoro is always free and does not require registration. To purchase a watch, you create a personal dailoro account – this way we know where to deliver your watch, and you can keep track of your orders, favorites and messages in one place. Creating an account is of course free.
Our filters let you find the watch that suits you – for example by brand, model, reference number, condition or price. This way you narrow down the selection step by step until your dream model is right in front of you. On each product page you will find all details about the watch, the completeness of the set and availability.
Do you have a question about a specific watch – such as its condition, additional photos or availability? You can contact the dealer directly through dailoro on the product page. At dailoro we believe in personal exchange: you speak directly with the specialist dealer offering the watch.
To keep your purchase protected from start to finish, it is best to handle all communication and payment entirely through dailoro. This way, our buyer protection applies, and you always have someone to turn to. Our tip: Keep questions, arrangements and payment within dailoro – that way your payment is secured through our secure checkout.
Authenticity & inspection
Every dealer on dailoro is carefully vetted and verified in advance. Only commercial partners who meet our standards gain access to the platform. All dailoro dealers contractually commit to listing only verified originals and bear responsibility for the authenticity of their offers. For extra peace of mind, you can always add our optional authenticity check.
Yes. Although all our dealers are verified, you can add an additional authenticity check by our own watch experts, independent of the selling dealer. Billing for this service is handled separately through dailoro.
You have two options:
- Digital check* (€75): Expert visual analysis based on image material. Includes a detailed analysis of photos and, where applicable, videos of the watch, a provenance check, and the request and review of additional dealer data.
- Physical inspection (€150 + shipping): Expert visual and functional inspection on site. Experienced watch experts inspect the watch at our verification centre for authenticity, condition, and functionality.
If a listing includes this addition, it means the watch is delivered as a so-called "Full Set":
Box:
The original watch box and the manufacturer's outer packaging (e.g. Rolex, Omega, Breitling).
Papers:
The manufacturer's official warranty certificate or warranty card. It typically shows the watch's serial number, the original purchase date, and usually the dealer's stamp. The manual and small accessories are often included as well.
For collectors, a Full Set is especially valuable, as it perfectly documents the watch's history and authenticity and significantly increases its resale value.
Buyer protection & payment
Every payment on dailoro is processed and held by a certified payment service until you have received your watch. This means the dealer only receives payment once the watch has arrived undamaged and you are fully satisfied.
The available payment methods are determined individually by each specialist dealer for their assortment. The options available for a specific listing, such as bank transfer, credit card or Klarna, are shown clearly at checkout. Regardless of your choice, your payment is processed through our secure checkout.
Should the watch not match its listing description upon arrival, please contact us immediately. We take every such case seriously and support you in finding a fair solution together with the dealer. Your payment remains protected through our security checkout for as long as the case is open.
Shipping & delivery
Yes. Every watch is insured by our specialist dealers and will be tracked on its way to you. Should anything go wrong in transit, the selling specialist dealer handles the process with the shipping service provider. So you can look forward to your new timepiece with peace of mind.
Shipping terms are determined individually by each specialist dealer. Any shipping costs are always shown transparently directly on the product page and again clearly broken down in the checkout process.
Delivery time depends on the respective dealer and is shown transparently in the listing. Most dealers ship within one to three business days.
Yes, it's very easy! Many of our dealers offer the "Local Pickup" (Click & Collect) option, which you can conveniently select at checkout. This way, you can inspect your desired model in person before purchase and meet the dealer directly at their store.
Returns & revocation
Your satisfaction is dailoro's top priority. If a timepiece does not meet your expectations, you can easily exercise your 14-day right of withdrawal. The return process follows three simple steps:
- Registration: Inform the specialist dealer within the 14-day period of your withdrawal (easiest directly via your dailoro account).
- Shipping & tracking: Send the watch back to the dealer as an insured parcel in unworn original condition, securely packed in box and outer packaging, together with all included accessories. Very important: do not ship with DHL. Afterwards, enter the tracking number in your order overview in your dailoro account so the system can register the return for you.
- Refund: As soon as the dealer has received and briefly verified the condition of the watch, your money will be safely and promptly refunded to your chosen payment method via our partner payment service provider.
If there are any discrepancies regarding condition, dailoro will step in as a neutral mediator to find a fair solution for both parties.
Return shipping costs are usually borne by you as the buyer. Since the timepieces on dailoro are high-value items, choosing the right shipping method is crucial for your own security. Please be sure to note two important points:
- Ask the dealer for advice: Before returning the item, briefly contact the selling specialist dealer via your dailoro chat. Many dealers work closely with specialised value couriers and can advise you on the safest option. Some dealers even offer a free return label as a courtesy. A quick look at the dealer's individual shipping terms on the product page often helps here.
- Never ship via standard DHL: Under no circumstances should you ship your watch as a regular DHL package. DHL classifies watches and jewellery valued over €500 as so-called "prohibited goods." This means that if the package is lost in transit, the transport insurance will not apply, and you would bear the loss yourself.
Our recommendation: Use only specialised high-value transport for returns, where your timepiece is fully insured up to the full purchase price.
